Refund/Exchange Policy

Original receipt and student ID required for all returns/exchanges

Mailed returns must arrive within the listed return period.

Supplies, Apparel, Gifts & Technology:

  • Items must be in original packaging, with all manuals and accessories. Apparel must be unworn, unwashed, and with tags.
  • Defective Items: Return/exchange within 10 days of the first academic class date of the session.  (or two business days if purchased later).
  • All defective electronic items must have original packaging and accessories.
  • Non-Returnable Items (if opened): Electronics (unless defective), data storage, software, headphones, printers, kits/uniforms, ink cartridges, laptops/computers/tablets, and accessories.

Textbooks & Access Codes:

  • Return within 7 days of the first academic class date of the session for fall/spring or within 5 days for summer if unused and in new, saleable condition.  If purchased later, return within two business days of purchase.
  • Packaged texts must have all components. Scratch-off codes must be intact.
  • Book buyback may be available after the return period.

eBooks:

  • 7-day return policy from the first academic date of the session start of the course. Receipt required.

DayONE Access Fee:

  • Opt-out via CANVAS by the 5th day academic day of the session of the session for refunds for DayONE fees.

Continuing Education Course Materials and Fees:

  • Compass, TEAS, Notary, OSHA, Forklift, and select other short-course books are non-returnable. All other Con-Ed books have a two day return policy from the first academic day of the course.
  • For Con-Ed books and materials that are included as part of the course registration fees, GTCC will refund 100% of your tuition, fees, and books if you officially withdraw BEFORE the first academic day of the course. Course materials fees which include the cost of the book and materials, are NON-REFUNDABLE after the first academic day of the course.
